On behalf of the RSA 2011 Organising Committee and the RSA Federal Board, we would like to extend a warm thank you to all who participated in the 39th RSA Annual Conference recently held in Adelaide.

The key note speakers, guest speakers and concurrent sessions all fitted with the theme of the conference; Exploring New Territory - Transforming Renal Health.

The keynote and guest speakers provided a breadth of information from Acute Kidney Injury to palliative care options for people with ESRD. Shad Ireland gave an inspirational presentation on one mans journey through kidney disease to triumph and competing at elite athlete level.

The organising committee would like to thank everyone who submitted an abstract. The quality of the submissions and professionalism with which they were delivered was impressive. A big thank you to Ann Bonner and the Scientific Review Committee who have the unenviable task each year of determining which abstracts are presented at the conference.

We look forward to seeing everyone in 2012 in Melbourne for the 40th Year RSA celebrations. It will be well worth attending.
