Co-Chair’s Welcome
On behalf of the SA/NT Organising Committee we invite you to join us in Adelaide, South Australia for the 39th Annual Renal Society of Australasia Conference in June 2011. Festivals and food, arts and culture, shopping and sports, Adelaide is the city where something is always on. Adelaide is the centre of South Australia’s booming wine industry, with the annual Sea and Vines Festival held on the June long weekend in McLaren Vale, 40 minutes South of Adelaide CBD. The festival will start on the Sunday following the conference and will provide an opportunity for delegates to share in the unique experience of Adelaide food and wine.
The theme for the conference, Exploring New Territory: Transforming Renal Health offers an opportunity where presenters can share ideas and knowledge that will guide renal health to 2011 and beyond.
The conference will draw on the experience and expertise of the Australian and New Zealand renal RSA members to improve the care of people with renal disease.
We encourage everybody to take up the challenge and submit an abstract, and share the rewarding experience of presenting a paper during the conference. We look forward to seeing you in Adelaide in June 2011.

Co-Chairs, RSA 2011
RSA Federal Executive Chairperson’s Welcome
I have great pleasure in inviting you to the Renal Society of Australasia Annual Conference to be held in Adelaide in June 2011. The theme of the conference Exploring New Territory: Transforming Renal Health has been in evidence right from the very beginnings of the conference's planning with new territory certainly been explored with the organising committee coming together from Darwin, Alice Springs and Adelaide.
The programme is exceptional with international and national speakers invited to share their experiences in undertaking changes in renal heath. I encourage both novice and experienced presenters to submit an abstract for either a paper or poster presentation. The social programme once again provides an excellent opportunity for all delegates to network with their colleagues and engage with our sponsors. The presentations of the prestigious RSA and Trade Awards will take place at the Friday night gala dinner.
The Adelaide Convention Centre is an outstanding venue in which to convene the RSA conference. It provides excellent facilities to undertake both the educational and social aspects of the conference. The trade display offers all delegates the opportunity to interact with our trade partners and view the latest in renal products.
I hope to see you all at the conference and encourage you to stay on in Adelaide to enjoy the many events celebrating the long weekend in and around Adelaide. Don't forget to book in to see the Pandas; truly a transforming experience.
